Overview[]
Icarus is swarming with life, but most of the fauna prospectors will encounter in the terraformed zones were transplanted from Earth. These species have mutated to ensure their survival on Icarus, but a prospector could recognize a Polar Bear charging at them anywhere. There are some creatures, however, that are Indigenous to Icarus and utterly unfamiliar to prospectors.
Most of the transplanted Fauna is alert to danger and will respond quickly, usually by running away, and will not attack; the predatory species on Icarus though pose a most significant threat to prospectors.
When killed, harvesting the carcass of fauna will provide valuable Resources, which can include: 
Raw Meat, 
Fur, 
Leather and 
Bone. Prospectors can also break down skeletons, for extra Bone, with a knife or axe.
