Description[]

Lures are crafted at the  Basic Fishing Bench and can be attached to a Fishing Rod or a  Basic Fishing Trap/ Advanced Fishing Trap to provide an increase to different attributes detailed in the comparison chart below. All Lures degrade with use and will eventually break after ten uses.

To attach a Lure to a Fishing Rod, equip the Fishing Rod of your choosing, hold 'R', and select which Lure you want to attach from the radial menu (must have Lure in inventory). To attach a Lure to a Fishing Trap, inspect the trap by pressing 'F' and drag the Lure into the dedicated Lure slot.

Lures are unlocked by researching the Basic Lure Pack and the Advanced Lure Pack in the Tier 2 tech tree.

Lure Comparison[]

While it is possible to catch any fish with any Lure, prospectors are better off using the right Lure for the right job. All percentages reflect an increase. The 'Zone' increase is the size of the capture area during the fishing minigame, increasing the success chance of catching a fish.
