The Icarus Tech Tree is what enables prospectors to Craft the Items they need to complete missions on the surface. Tier 2 of the tech tree available becomes available to prospectors when they reach level 10.

Description[]

In Tier 2, prospectors will begin to make the bounty of Resources on Icarus work for them. This all begins with the Crafting Bench, the first Deployable that provides built-in recipes for creating items and resources.

For the first time, prospectors will be able to smelt Mineral ores into useful ingots, using the Stone Furnace. Prospectors can then unlock upgraded Tools and Weapons, like the Steel Pickaxe and Crossbow. They can also access much more durable building elements, the Stone Building Pieces.

Tier 2 is also where prospectors are exposed to more advanced concepts, such as Medicine and Armor crafting. They can also more efficiently maintain their basic survival needs, by collecting and storing Water in the Rain Reservoir and converting Oxite to Oxygen in the Oxite Dissolver. Using these processes they can make those resources mobile, by making the Waterskin and Oxygen Bladder.
