Description[]
The Desert is a Biome found on both Olympus and Styx, and it is also a Region on Olympus. The Desert presents a whole new set of challenges and dangers for prospectors looking to exploit Icarus and its Resources. Storms involve blasting winds of sand and heat, and while the Fauna consists mostly of prey, it does include predators like the Hyena and Cougar which tend to be near sources of water.
Gameplay[]
The extreme conditions found in the Desert necessitate a very strategic outlook from prospectors. Water can be difficult to find and a Waterskin or Canteen is recommended. The high temperatures can be mitigated by building structures with Concrete Building Pieces. Cloth Armor, while offering little physical protection, can help prospectors withstand the blistering heat and serves as an alternative until prospectors have access to Wayfarer Armor/Workshop Armors.
