The MXC Knife is equivalent to Tier 2 Tech like the 
Iron Knife, giving Prospectors the ability to skin larger animals, such as Buffalo and Grizzly Bears. Unlike Throwing Knives, the MXC Knife cannot be thrown. There currently are no Workshop throwing knives.
The MXC Knife is the first knife that can be unlocked in the Workshop on the Space Station and is equipped in the Prospector's loadout before starting a new prospect.
