These are the Rules for the Icarus Wiki.
Infringing upon any of these rules may result in either a warning or a temporary/permanent ban, depending on circumstances.
Rules applies for all editors to ensure that Icarus Wiki becomes a good place for all editors to enjoy and a freely editable Rust database.
These policies are mostly from common sense, the history of Icarus Wiki, and the experience of its users. Exceptions may occur if the policy is in conflict with the expansion of Icarus Wiki.
- Be civil. This includes (but is not limited to):
- No harassment, stalking, or insulting anyone.
- No deadnaming.
- Be a productive member of the wiki.
- Assume good faith.
- Address the action, not the user behind it.
- Do not vandalize, spam, or otherwise edit disruptively. Do not mislead users (such as via sockpuppetting) or in any shape degrade content on the wiki.
- Only feature content directly related to the game and/or the wiki itself. Do not self-promote.
- Community tools linked on the wiki must be free and maintain free status for the duration of their inclusion on this site.
- Do not edit war, settle disputes elsewhere. Use talk pages politely.
- Ensure it is explicitly permissible to use uploaded files under the license the file was published under. Avoid uploading files without using them, otherwise they may be deleted without notice.
- Follow the Manual of Style.
- Accounts with offensive or otherwise inappropriate usernames may be blocked.
- An editor may only have multiple accounts if all of the accounts are clearly marked as belonging to that editor. Ban evasion using multiple accounts may result in a block.
