Description

The Obsidian Throwing Knife is a variant of the Obsidian Knife that can only be thrown and is unlocked upon researching the Obsidian Knife. Cannot be used to skin Fauna - crafted in batches of five and stacks up to fifty.

Deals fire damage on hit and has a 15% chance to apply a unique debuff to targets while also setting them ablaze. Excels when used against Fauna that have a weakness to fire. A list of Fauna that are weak to fire can be viewed here. When the Burning modifier does proc, periodic fire damage is dealt to the target over the span of 10 seconds. Fauna with:

• A resistance to fire: 16 fire damage on hit. 17-22 damage per second if the modifier procs
• No weakness to fire: 33 fire damage on hit. 35-45 damage per second if the modifier procs
• A weakness to fire: 49 fire damage on hit. 70-90 damage per second if the modifier procs

Element damage does not scale with Throwing Knife talents.

This weapon is Prometheus exclusive due to it requiring Shaped Obsidian.
