Overview[]
Outposts are permanent settlements available to Prospectors. They offer a more permanent Icarus experience, while still enabling Prospectors to practice the skills needed to thrive during more dangerous encounters. Located in the Arctic or Forest Biomes, Outposts constitute 1 square kilometer of space. The Outposts are situated in relatively benign environments, where Prospectors will face few dangers from the moon's usually violent Storms and Fauna (this has largely been replaced by the Open World game mode).
Forest Outposts have:
- Rabbit
- Deer
- Large Deer
- Wolf
- Bear
- Chamois
- Pronghorn
- Wild Boar
Arctic Outposts have:
- Polar Bear
- Snow Wolf
- Mammoth
- Snow Rabbit
- Snow Leopard
Outposts have no spawn count restrictions and predators are disabled on easy difficulty.
