Description[]

Thirst is one of the three survival meters that must be maintained by prospectors while attempting survival on Icarus.

Like Hunger and Oxygen, thirst must be replenished on a regular basis, or the prospector will begin to experience increasingly negative effects. If the thirst meter becomes too low, prospectors will have a reduced rate of stamina regeneration, and eventually begin losing Health.

Gameplay[]

The simplest way to fill the thirst meter is to drink from a body of water. These include rivers and lakes, and also small pools founds inside most Caves. However, it is possible for prospectors to catch Dysentery from any natural water source like this.

As the prospector progresses, they can craft and build better and more efficient ways of obtaining and storing water. The Rain Reservoir will collect water, and in the Arctic players can place Ice in the reservoir, which will melt into fresh water. Prospectors can see how much water is in the reservoir and drink directly from it, or use it to fill a Drink Container. These containers can be used from the inventory, or added to the drink slot on an Envirosuit.

Replenishing thirst from Consumables[]

Some consumables also replenish the thirst meter, for example Berries. Visit the Consumables page to see a comparison of the different items which give water.
